2008 Waterborne Symposium to focus on sustainable coating technologies.
The School of Polymers and High Performance Materials at The University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS, has announced the dates for the 2008 Waterborne Symposium. The 35th annual event is scheduled for January 30-February 1, 2008, in New Orleans, LA. The theme of the Symposium is "Advances in Sustainable Coating Technologies."Presentation topics will cover new and emerging technologies and markets in the field of advanced coatings systems, including waterborne, high-solids, powder, and radiation-curable coating systems; stimuli-responsive and "smart" coating systems; renewable raw materials for coatings; and high-throughput methodologies for formulation. The Symposium will also feature tabletop exhibits.
