NAA honors lucky seven
Recognized for using their artistic license to drive sales, winners have been named in the dealer categories of the Newspaper Association of America's 2002 Dandy Awards for excellence in automotive newspaper advertising.
The winners announced during the National Automobile Dealers Association's annual convention in New Orleans were:
Best Franchised New Car Dealer Ad: "Our Managers on Customer Service," Jeff O'neal Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Toyota, Hutchinson, Kan., in The Hutchinson News.
Best Ad Campaign by a Franchised New Car Dealer: "Invest Wisely/Zero Percent Interest," Green's Lincoln Mercury, Lexington, Ky., in the Lexington Herald- Leader.
Best Single Ad by a Franchised New Car Dealer Association: "Take Your Pick," Lexus Dealer Association, Torrance, Calif., in USA Today.
Best Ad Campaign by a Franchised New Car Dealer: "The Cure/It's Here," Atlanta Area Nissan Dealers in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Best Automobile Special Section: 2001 L.A. Auto Show in the Los Angeles Times.
Best Promotion of a Franchised New Car Dealer Web Site: EastBayBMW.com, East Bay BMW, Pleasanton, Calif., in the East Bay Business Times, Pleasanton.
Best Promotion of a Newspaper Automotive Web Site: Washingtonpost.com in The Washington Post.
