Corporate Comings & Goings
Early 1993 was a mixed bag for hologram companies, judging by reports in the February issue of Hologaphy News[R]. US embossed hologram producer Holographic Dimensions Inc was reported to have expanded its production facility to 7000 sq ft and taken on new staff. Company founder and president Kevin G. Brown reported production of 5 million holograms daily, with sales of $2m+ annually. Also in the US The Hologram Company opened new hologram shops in San Francisco and Myrtle Beach, NC, with another 10 planned across the country if sales met expectations.
But in the UK Micro Embossing Technology went in to voluntary liquidation with debts of [pounds sterling]150000. MET had been set up by Graham Ridout about 2 months earlier. Its wide-web embossing machine was reportedly removed to Ridout's other company, Embossing Technology, before bailiffs raided MET's premises and seized all equipment there.
