2 prisons to be moved outside Bishkek.

Pre-trial detention center SIZO-1 will move to SIZO-50 in the village of Nizhny Nooruz in the Issyk-Ata district, said Deputy Chairman of the State Penitentiary Service Askat Egemberdiyev.

SIZO-1 was built in the early 40s, when the capital's infrastructure was not so developed. And the part where the detention facility was located was considered Bishkek's outskirts.

"Now the city is overloaded. Relocation of the prison necessary for the safety of citizens," he said.

Correctional facility No. 47, which is also located in Bishkek, will also be relocated. The institution will be relocated to Moldovanovka village on the territory of prison No. 31.
