2 mild quakes jolt Agusan del Norte.

BUTUAN CITY -- Two mild earthquakes jolted Agusan del Norte province this morning, June 30, 2018, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The Agusan del Norte provincial disaster risk reduction and management council here reported no damage or injury.

In its bulletin, Phivolcs said a 2.1 magnitude tremor was recorded at 9:14 a.m. today (June 30).

The epicenter was plotted 11 kilometers (km) southwest of Santiago town, Agusan del Norte province.

The earthquake had a shallow depth of 11 km, it said.

Earlier on the same day (June 30), a magnitude 2.2 tremor was registered at 3:12 a.m., Phivolcs said in its bulletin.

The epicenter was traced only 13 km northeast of Remedios T. Romualdez town of this same province.

The earthquake had a depth of 33 km, Phivolcs said.

The two tremors were tectonic in origin and no aftershock was raised by the state agency.
