2 injured in shooting during a brawl.

Mafraq, Sept 6 (Petra) ---- Two people were wounded Sunday by a man who fired from a gun that was in his possession during an altercation in the Industrial Area in the northeastern city of Mafraq, according to witnesses.

They said the shooter fled the scene after firing from a pump-action shotgun on the men over an old dispute with them.

The Accident and Emergency Ward at the Mafraq Government Hospital received two men, aged 63 and 25, with bullet wounds, according to the hospital's director Smeir Mashagbeh, who said one of the injured was struck in the leg and the other had wounds in different parts of the body. He said the two men were in a fair condition.

Police began an investigation into the shooting and launched a search to apprehend the gunman and hand him over to justice.
