2 held for allegedly displaying porn images on i-mode sites.

NAGOYA, Sept. 19 Kyodo

Police in Aichi Prefecture on Tuesday arrested two men in separate cases on suspicion of posting pornographic images on their own Web sites for NTT DoCoMo Inc.'s Internet-capable i-mode mobile phone service, police said.

Yoshimasa Tanabe, 36, from Shizuoka Prefecture, placed ''obscene'' images on one of his private Web sites Aug. 16, police said. Kazuo Togo, 31, from Miyazaki Prefecture is accused of displaying similar images on his i-mode site Aug. 13, the police said.

The police said Tanabe and Togo were not acquainted and that investigators found the images as a result of unrelated efforts.

Police said Tanabe has earned about 220,000 yen by selling pornographic videotapes and women's underwear through advertisements he posted on his Web sites since June.
