2,000 Iftar meals distributed to workers.

A TOTAL of 2,000 Iftar meal packets were handed out to City Centre Bahrain workers, labourers at a camp and at a mosque as part of the mall's expanded annual 'Iftar Saem' initiative.

Sixty volunteers from the mall, Carrefour, The Westin and Le Meridien collaborated to deliver 1,000 meals to mall workers such as cleaners, security guards and taxi stand drivers.

An additional 1,000 Iftar meals were distributed to 600 workers at a labour camp and 400 at the Sabika Al Ansari mosque.

Meanwhile, mall visitors have been urged to place their donations of gently used clothes, books, toys and non-perishable food items in special donation boxes behind the main customer service desk on the ground floor.

The contribution will be used for Majid Al Futtaim's 12th annual 'Make a Difference' campaign being carried out in partnership with the Bahrain Islamic Association.
