 CUPERTINO, Calif., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced 1stACT! for Windows version 1.1, an easy-to-use contact manager. Created by the developers of the market- leading ACT! product line, 1stACT! for Windows version 1.1 provides the best value in contact management software for business professionals who need to manage their contacts and relationships. It includes an integrated contact database, activity scheduler, report generator and word processor.
 1stACT! for Windows version 1.1 has been enhanced to perform five to 10 times faster than the previous version, making it even easier for users to keep information at their fingertips when managing schedules and communicating with contacts. Users will see increased speed when searching large databases, printing documents, importing data and managing schedules. 1stACT! for Windows also features the Norton installer for faster and easier installation.

It is based on the award-winning ACT! for Windows contact manager. 1stACT! differs from ACT! for Windows in price, data management and customization capabilities. 1stACT! does not include some of the more advanced features of ACT! such as unlimited number of databases, macros, password protection, pre- defined dynamic data exchange (DDE), graphical calendars, sophisticated querying, automatic roll-over of uncompleted tasks, and custom reporting.

Registered 1stACT! for Windows version 1.0 users will receive an update disk automatically.
