1993 DIRECTORY OF SENIOR MEDIA PUBLISHED

RENO, Nev., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The "1993 Senior Media Directory," listing more than 800 news and marketing media that target senior audiences throughout North America, is now off the press, according to GEM Publishing Group, publisher of the directory and of "The Mature Traveler" newsletter.
The "1993 Senior Media Directory" lists 15 percent more news media outlets -- senior-specific newspapers and magazines, radio and TV shows, syndicates, columns and newspaper sections -- than last year's Senior Media Directory. In addition, almost 25 percent of last year's listings have significant changes in addresses, titles or key personnel.
Media listings include information like fax numbers, news-release requirements, advertising rates, key personnel and editorial profiles.
"The 1993 directory reflects the fact that senior media, particularly publications, are becoming generally stronger," according to Gene E. Malott, president of GEM Publishing Group. "We are seeing new chains and combinations of senior publication groups starting to form, some larger publishers like McClatchy increasing their interest in the market and independent local publications expanding their circulations."
In addition to the senior media listings, the 1993 directory also has appendixes listing senior-specific mailing lists, advertising agencies representing senior media and other special marketing programs targeting seniors.
The 1993 directory, with 156 pages, is in full-size (8 1/2 by 11 inch) format. The 1993 Senior Media Directory is priced at $90 (plus $4 postage and handling). Pressure-sensitive mailing labels cost $80, unless purchased with the directory; then the labels cost $40 per set. A $10 discount is offered with a cash purchase of a directory.
To order the 1993 Senior Media Directory, write GEM Publishing Group, 250 E. Riverview Circle, Reno, Nev. 89509; call 702-786-7419.
