1993 CAMPER AND RV SHOWS WHEEL INTO EXHIBIT HALLS ACROSS THE STATE

OKEMOS, Mich., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan's camper and RV enthusiasts are marking their calendars so as not to miss one of six product and lifestyle shows rolling into exhibit halls across the state in 1993.
Sponsored by the Michigan Association of Recreational Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC), the season begins Feb. 4-7 with the 10th Annual Battle Creek Camper and RV Show, followed by Flint (Feb. 10-14) and Detroit at the Novi Expo Center (Feb. 13-21). The Port Huron and Northwest Michigan (Traverse City) shows are March 11-14 and April 2-4, respectively. In October, MARVAC returns for the year's second show at the Novi Expo Center.
Featured will be dealer displays of all-new campers and RVs, and related industry exhibitors, plus state Department of Natural Resources (DNR) experts will present daily seminars. Show attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about "55 Alive/Mature Driving," a course designed to sharpen mature driving skills, presented by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).
"All of our shows have expanded to include some exciting new offerings this year," said Ed Klim, MARVAC's show director. "Presentations pertinent to travel and hobbies are part of every show, and someone can win a fabulous trip."
Winter/spring show attendees may register to win an RV barge cruise, courtesy of MARVAC and Woodall's World of Travel. Called "Voyage to Acadiana," the trip cruises Louisiana's Intercoastal Waterway from New Orleans deep into Cajun Country. The 10-day cruise is May 15-26; to be eligible, the winner must provide a self-contained RV and transportation between home and New Orleans. The trip is for two persons and the winner's name will be drawn in April.
MARVAC represents member dealers, campgrounds, manufacturers, suppliers and service companies throughout the str? more information about MARVAC's camper and RV shows, call 517-349-8881.
