1992 EDITION OF MINNESOTA RURAL INVESTMENT GUIDE RELEASED
ST. PAUL, Minn., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Minnesota Rural Development Board has released the 1992 edition of its Rural Investment Guide: Programs and Policies for Rural Minnesota. The guide presents an updated summary and analysis of conditions and characteristics in the 80 Minnesota counties outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
Summarized in the guide are the patterns of population change; the makeup of the state's people; the economy; land and resources; the nature of the public infrastructure; and the factors that contribute to change in rural communities.
The 1992 edition draws on the most recent data, including results from the 1990 census and employment trends. It also updates the status of state programs concerned with rural development.
The guide is organized by regions -- Southeast, Southwest, Central, West Central, Northwest and Northeast -- which the Rural Development Board employs for its revolving loan fund program. The program is a partnership with the six independent Minnesota Initiative Fund organizations.
For a free copy of the Rural Investment Guide or for more information, write to the Rural Development Board, Department of Trade and Economic Development, 900 American Center Building, 150 E.
