1991 A RECORD YEAR FOR TOURISM AT COORS
 GOLDEN, Colo., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- One of Colorado's top 10

tourist attractions, Coors Brewing Co. welcomed 323,549 visitors in 1991, a 3.6 percent increase over the previous year.
In addition, the brewery passed two milestones during the year: the celebration of its 9 millionth visitor and a record for the number of visitors in a single day.
"Increased marketing of our tour programs within the state and across the country, combined with the exceptional gains in tourism throughout Colorado, led to the outstanding results we had last year," said Harry Horblit, manager, Coors Guest Relations.
On July 10, Coors welcomed the brewery's 9 millionth visitor -- Pamela Mathis of Lockport, Ill. The first-time Colorado visitor was greeted by a cheering crowd and a host of community and company dignitaries, including Peter Coors, president, Coors Brewing Co. As part of the celebration, Mathis received a variety of gifts and placed her footprints in red concrete on the Coors "Star Track" outside the brewery.
On July 5, a record 4,314 people visited the world's largest single-site brewery, where they learned about the malting, brewing, fermenting and aging processes. Prior to that day, the largest number of visitors at Coors in one day occurred Aug. 5, 1975, when 3,799 people visited the brewery.
Free public tours of the brewery are offered Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition, Guest Relations sponsors special evening programs for civic groups, conventioneers and associations and holds monthly art exhibits featuring the works of Colorado artists.
