17th African Boxing Championships: Single Tunisian gold medal won by default.

YAOUNDE-CAMEROON (TAP) - Tunisian boxer Yahya Mkachri was crowned on Friday in Yaounde African Boxing Champion in the 81 kg category after the withdrawal of his Egyptian opponent Mohamed Amine El Alfi. Five Tunisian boxers participated in the 17 African Championships qualifying for the World Cup scheduled for next September 16-October 1 in Bakou (Azerbaidjan) and partly for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Tunisia ranks fourth at general standings with 4 medals, including only one gold medal won by default and 3 bronze medals . Medals Table Gold Silver Bronze Total 1. Algeria 3 3 2 8 2.
