15th Cadet College.

Pakistan launched its 15th Cadet College at Spinkai, South Waziristan on October 20, 2016. The very first Cadet College at Hasan Abdal, about 30 miles west of Rawalpindi, had begun in 1955. Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif said the world recognises Pakistan's contributions in the fight against terrorism and had learnt much from this. Addressing tribal elders after inaugurating the building of the Cadet College, COAS paid tributes to soldiers and tribesmen for defeating terrorists and flushing them out from their hideouts.

UAE government has financed the project. Talking to elders and cadets, Gen Raheel said that country's future could only be secured through educated and passionate youth. And it was imperative to raise their potential. He said the new cadet college would meet the needs of the region's youth and enable them to realise their potential. COAS thanked local tribes for donating land for the college and UAE for financing the project
