15 lakh Muslims to attend TTHJ meet.

Tiruchirapalli, June. 12 -- Over 15 lakh Muslims were expected to attend the proposed one-day Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamad's (TTHJ) State Confernece to be held at Chennai on July 4, according to TTHJ's Founder-President P Jainulabdeen.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the object of the conference is to demand rights for the Muslim Minorities.

He also pointed out that despite recommendations of the various commissions and other fora, the Muslims were till today denied their due share in job, education and other political appointments.

Since there were 13 per cent Muslims in the country, they should be given at least ten per cent exclusive reservation.

He said the Justice Ranganath Mishra Commission also submitted its report in which it recommended to the government for providing ten per cent exclusive reservation for Muslim Minorities.

This report had already been submitted to the government.

In turn, it had referred the report to the Lok Sabha.

But each and every commission reported will be tabled in the Lok Sabha with an action taken report.

Unfortunately, Justice Ranganath Mishra Committee report was tabled without action taken report, he added.

He urged the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre to implement the recommendations of the commission in toto.

If they provide exclusive reservation for them, they would extend their support to the Congress-AIADMK combine in the future election otherwise they would oppose the Congress-DMK.
