15 different styles in one dress; QUICK CHANGE FROCK.

Byline: Nada Farhoud

HERE'S a new twist on getting dolled up for a big night out.

The new Twist & Wrap dress is so versatile that it can be worn in 15 different ways, depending on your mood or the occasion.

As our pictures show, you can choose a plunging neckline, a backless number or a bolero-style for evening events.

The flexible dress, which comes in short and long versions, also works with a halterneck, as a wrap-around or strapless.

It was originally marketed as a bridesmaid's dress for women who wanted to update their outfit during a wedding or had bridesmaids of different shapes and sizes.

But it has become an internet hit and girls are snapping up Twist & Wraps for nights out.

Less versatile and far pricier versions have been available in upmarket boutiques but not on the high street until now.

Bhs spent a year developing the dress which comes in fuchsia, purple and jade and costs pounds 70 for the short version and pounds 80 for the long one.

A store spokesman said: "We say there are 15 variations but it is up to the wearer's imagination how they alter it.

"Innovations such as this always do well, particularly during tough times. Girls love new frocks but cannot afford one every week.

"The dress is suitable for all body types and shapes as it can be wrapped in the most flattering style for your shape. That is why it works well for bridesmaids because if you have lots of different shaped bridesmaids they can all wrap the dress to suit their shape."

Online fashion expert Poppy Dinsey also gave the dress the thumbs up.

She said: "This is a gorgeous dress, ideal for smart occasions, for a great price.

People don't want to spend hundreds something they'll only wear once, especially in a recession.

"It's elegant, a flattering cut and hangs nicely. It looks like a designer dress.

"The colours are gorgeous and I like the green the best. It's definitely on my shopping list."

The Twist & Wrap is available at Bhs.com and in store.
