14 kids injured in school bus crash.

Seventeen people, including 14 children, have been injured in a multi-vehicle collision, an ambulance service said.

The crash, which involved two coaches and a car, happened on the A449 near Worcester at 10.10am yesterday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the casualties sustained only minor injures, describing them as "walking wounded".

A WMAS spokesman said: "Two coaches, taking children from Gloucestershire to the West Midlands Safari Park and a car were involved in a collision in the roadworks area of the A449 near Claines Island.

"Fourteen children and two adults from the coaches and the woman driver of the car all had neck pain and were complaining of feeling unwell.

"They were all walking wounded casualties who were taken to a nearby campsite away from the road to be assessed and treated.

"Because of the number of casualties, a patient transport services ambulance was called in to help transport some of the patients to hospital."
