13 new projects in Balochistan irrigation sector for Rs. 29 billion.

QUETTA, June 26, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- About 13 new projects would be implemented in water sector of Balochistan that would be completed at a cost of Rs. 29.359 billion during financial year 2009-10. Balochistan irrigation department sources told reporter here Friday that these projects also included construction of 100 new dams in parts of the province. With completion of these projects about 34000 acres of barren land would be brought under cultivation casting positive impact on economy of local farmers.
