13 held in Snoop D gun raid.
GANGSTA rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg's bodyguards have been arrested after police swooped on an armoured convoy.
Officers with rifles took 13 men away in handcuffs and seized several weapons, bulletproof vests and three vehicles including an armoured truck.
Snoop was being named Best Hip Hip Artist at the BET Award at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles at the time, unaware of what was happening outside.
The Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms government department are investigating. Snoop, who has not been questioned or held, could be arrested if he employed the armed men, which is against US law.
Three men were charged after Tuesday's swoop and at least one bodyguard has been released.
Duke 2, freed six hours after being detained, said: "I didn't have nothing to do with it. It took them six hours to find that out but I guess that's how they treat people in the music business, especially those that work with rappers."
