11th Arab Conference for Mineral Resources Starts in Libya.

Tripoli, (SANA) -- The 11th Arab Conference for Mineral Resources kicked of in the Libyan capital, Tripoli under the title 'Towards Better Future for Mining Investment in Arab States' with the participation of Syria.

Syrian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Sufian Allaw told SANA that the 3rd advisory meeting of Arab Ministers concerned in mineral resources affairs that was held on the sidelines of the conference approved a set of recommendations to activate the Arab cooperation in the field of mineral resources.

Allaw added that he held talks with Secretary of General People's Committee for Economy, Industry and Trade, Chairman of the conference Mohammad Alhweij which included cooperation agreement draft in the fields of mineral resources, Oil and Gas.

The conference tackles more than 60 worksheets on the challenges and the factors affecting the attraction of mining investments and prospects of developing mineral resources sector.

Many associations, universities, unions, researchers, specialists, research and scientific centers from all the Arab countries are participating in the conference.
