110 rounded up in twin cities search operation.

RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD, November 07, 2009 (Balochistan Times): At least 110 suspected people were arrested during search operation in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad during last 24 hours. On the directives of Regional Police Officer Aslam Tareen and City Police Officer Rao Mohammad Iqbal, Rawalpindi Police carried out search operation in Civil Line, Westridge, New town and New Katria and arrested 60 suspected people. Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Operations Rawalpindi led the operation in which tiger force, elite force and Rawalpindi Police participated. On the hand, Islamabad Capital Territory Police launched search operation in Faizabad, Mehrabad, Sabzi Mandi and other areas and apprehended 50 suspected people. The arrested people have been shifted to different Police station of Rawalpindi and Islamabad for interrogation. Sources told majority of people were arrested after they failed to show their identity.
