 11 DETROIT-AREA PRSA MEMBERS EARN ACCREDITATION
 DETROIT, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Eleven members of the Detroit


Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America recently earned accreditation. To become accredited, one must successfully complete written and oral examinations designed to test the candidate's knowledge and competence in the practice of public relations.
 The exam is given nationwide twice a year. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in professional practice, teaching or administration of public relations.
 PRSA is a professional organization for public relations practitioners worldwide. The Detroit chapter is one of the 10 largest in the United States. The society's 15,000 members represent business and industry, counseling firms, government, professional and trade associations, hospitals, schools and nonprofit organizations.
 Becoming accredited gives PRSA members the right to use the APR, Accredited in Public Relations, designation after their names. Including these 11, 161 of the Detroit chapter's 417 members are accredited.
 Newly accredited PRSA members are: Bruce Babiarz, president, B.A.B. Associates, Inc., Troy; Patricia Blenkle, media relations/ communications, Albert Kahn Associates, Inc., Detroit; Nancy Cain, media relations manager, AAA Michigan, Dearborn; James N. Fisher, public relations director, Allied-Signal Automotive, Southfield; Daniel Fugate, director of public relations, General Growth Management, Inc. - Eastland Center, Harper Woods.
 Ana Holland Krawec, public affairs specialist, Ford Motor Company, Dearborn; William Northwood Jr., public relations manager, Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, Dearborn; Jane Riesterer, public relations coordinator, Kelly Services, Inc., Troy; Wendy Rose, Rose Communications, Bloomfield Hills; Janet Shubitowski, director of marketing and community relations, Saline Community Hospital, Saline; and Joan Witte, director of public relations, Credit Counseling Centers, Inc., Novi.
