100yr-old Mr Banjo.

MUSICIAN Arthur Perkins celebrated his 100th birthday by entertaining his pals at an old people's home with his banjo playing.

He first took up the banjo in 1923 and toured the country in dance bands during the 1930s.

Apart from his music, Arthur spends his time at the home in Doncaster surfing the internet and enjoying daily sessions on an exercise bike.

He said: "I put the fact I've stayed so active down to the fact that I used to play a lot of football, cricket and tennis."
