100,000 GERS FANS WANT TO GO 14,000 TICKETS FOR THEM.

MORE THAN 100,000 Rangers fans face a mad scramble for tickets for the UEFA Cup final.

The club have been allocated just 14,000 seats for the match against Zenit St Petersburg on May 14 at the City of Manchester Stadium.

But seven times that number of Rangers supporters are expected to travel south of the Border for the party of a lifetime.

Last night, police warned them to keep away unless they have a ticket.

But supporters' spokesman Andy Kerr said: "A lot of people will want to be part of the atmosphere and we hope Manchester is ready for that."
