10 pairs of food festival tickets must be won; NANTWICH FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL 2006.

THE three day Nantwich Food & Drink Festival starts on Friday September 29 and occupies a well-earned place in the North Wales and north west of England foodie calendar.

The festival - this year in association with Roberts Bakery - is an annual celebration of food excellence, offering a mouth-watering selection of regionally produced food and drink. It returns this year with five new features and over 2,500 opportunities to taste.

The festival hosts one of the finest farmers' markets in Britain and a Gourmet Food Marquee, where over 2,000 gourmet food items can be sampled from the cream of the region's independent producers.

Professional cookery demonstrations from celebrity chefs such as Lesley Waters and Simon Rimmer will also be taking place.

New for this year is the Edencroft Fine Wine & Spirit Pavilion, where tickets allow visitors to sample over 160 drinks from some of the world's finest vineyards and distilleries.

The festival also caters for younger foodies, with children's healthy eating expert Amanda Grant returning with the popular Kids' Kitchen, encouraging children to join in the fun, while learning more about the food cycle and what they eat.

The Daily Post has 10 pairs of VIP tickets to give away for this year's event. Each ticket allows free entry to the Gourmet Food Marquee and to the Taste of Cheshire Marquee where some of the region's most celebrated food makers will showcase traditional food craft skills, with artisan demonstrations on butter churning, cheese making and truffle making, to name but a few.

For those with a taste for the amber nectar, each ticket also entitles free entry during the day (before 5pm) to the CAMRA Nantwich Beer Festival, which is the largest in Cheshire and features over 70 locally produced beers and ciders.
