10 dead in 856 road accidents across Punjab.

LAHORE -- The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue-1122) responded to 856 road accidents in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

In these accidents, 10 people died, while 941 others were injured.

As many as 572 seriously injured persons were shifted to different hospitals while 359 with minor injuries were provided first aid on-the-spot.

The statistics show that 221 accidents were reported in Lahore with 227 victims, 80 in Faisalabad with 97 injured and 76 in Multan with 80 victims.

According to the data, 672 motorbikes, 126 auto-rickshaws, 128 motorcars, 48 vans, seven passenger buses, 30 trucks and 118 other types of vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in these road accidents.
