1,500 WORLDWIDE LEADERS IN AIDS BATTLE IDENTIFIED IN NEW DIRECTORY

WASHINGTON, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, a directory published today makes it possible to instantly locate key AIDS-related organizations in the United States and around the world.
"The AIDS Directory," published by Buraff Publications, compiles the 1,500 leaders in AIDS advocacy, services, policy and funding into a single source. It is expected to be heavily used by:
-- The media, for quick access to key names and organizations (including full addresses and phone numbers) when preparing articles and broadcasts about AIDS and HIV.
-- Organizations seeking grants and contracts, who will find invaluable the directory's detailed descriptions of the sources of over $100 million in funding.
-- Public and private reference libraries.
-- AIDS hotlines and referral services.
-- Public health agencies and other government officials.
-- All persons involved in coping with AIDS and HIV infection.
"In scarcely more than a decade, hundreds of organizations have been established to respond to the AIDS crisis," said Buraff Publisher Thomas G. Shack Jr. "We have designed this directory to improve the ability of these organizations, scattered around the world, to find each other and work together."
