1,418 Moroccans evacuated from Libya arrive at Tanger Med aboard ferry-boat.
Most passengers of the Berkane ferry lived in the cities of Tripoli and Benghazi and other adjacent cities.
As part of the good relations linking Morocco to other brotherly and friendly countries, the ferry evacuated also 93 foreigners from Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan, Egypt, Gambia, Mauritania, Mali, Senegal, Palestine and Lebanon.
The Moroccan authorities took several measures to support Moroccan nationals in Libya and bring them home. They include health care and transportation to cities and provinces Moroccan expatriates are originating from.
The Ministry of Moroccan community abroad announced that two ferrys carrying some 4,000 Moroccans and 100 nationals from friendly African countries evacuated from Libya will arrive on Sunday at Tanger Med port.
