1,150 dengue cases reported in KP.

PESHAWAR -- According to the Health Department report from August to October, 2015 around 1,150 dengue cases were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa public hospitals, The Frontier Post learnt on Sunday.

An official of the Health Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the condition to be not mention his name said that from August to October, 2015 from Haripur, 18 cases of dengue were reported, 389 were reported from Abbotabad, 436 cases were reported Mansehra, Upper-Dir 12 cases, 255 cases of dengue were reported from Malakand while according to the report of Hayatabad Medical Complex around 20 dengue cases were reported as still five patients of dengue were admitted in hospitals.

The official further said that despite the government awareness campaign still most of the people were not taking precautionary measures, adding that in most of the areas and houses stay of water in homes and other areas were cause of dengue.

He further said that dengue main cause is the water stoppage and the dengue mosquitoes were grow in those water which were long time stay, adding that if we take precautionary measures not only we will save from dengue but as well as many other diseases.
