-Trinity Hall forays into banking business.
Global Banking News - 15 February 2013
Trinity Hall, one of the University of Cambridge's 31 colleges, has announced its intention to foray into the banking business.
The college had founded Cambridge and Counties bank in collaboration with a local pension fund last year. The aim was to bolster the college's endowment.
An engineering instructor and member of the investment committee, Simon Guest, said that while banking was perceived as a 'casino' business, it could in reality be a highly successful investment with the possibility of generating profit for Trinity Hall.
