Tri-Valley Corporation (NYSE Amex: TIV), a company that explores for and produces oil and natural gas in California, has reached a definitive agreement with Columbia River Carbonates.

The contract has been signed for the sale of its Admiral Calder calcium carbonate quarry located on Prince of Wales Island in Alaska.

The deal is valued at USD2.5m and is likely to be completed by the end of 2010.
