Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited, a joint venture of Japan-based automaker Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE: TM) (LSE: TYT) (TYO: 7203), has an order backlog of 5,000 units for its Fortuner Sports Utility Vehicle.

The company has now closed fresh bookings because of the order backlog.

The automaker had previously closed bookings for the vehicle in January because of an order backlog, and restarted taking bookings in August 2010.
