31 July 2012 - US lender TD Bank has adopted the CheckFree RXP solution provided by Fiserv Inc (NASDAQ:FISV) as part of efforts to offer electronic bill payment for consumers and small business customers, the US financial services technology provider said Tuesday.

Thanks to the installation of CheckFree RXP, TD Bank's customers will have more control over bill payments and will be able to receive electronic bills from over 400 US companies directly through their online banking service.

CheckFree RXP is already used by 3,800 financial institutions allowing millions of customers to make electronic bill payments.In combination with CheckFree RXP, TD Bank will also implement Fiserv's FraudNet automated fraud detection system aimed at reducing the risk of fraudulent transactions.

The co-operation between Fiserv and TD Bank dates back to over 15 years ago. Apart from online banking, Fiserv's technology also powers TD Bank's automated clearing house (ACH) processing, loan servicing, credit processing and cash forecasting operations.

TD Bank, with executive offices in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Portland, Maine, ranks among the 10 biggest banks in the US and provides a full range of retail, small business and commercial banking products and services to almost eight million customers at over 1,280 locations across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Metro DC, North and South Carolina and Florida.
