Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, a part of France's Societe Generale (SocGen) (SOGN.PA) (OTC: SCGLY) (GLE.FR), has said that it has appointed Christopher Darbyshire as managing director in Insurance & Pension Funds Cross Asset Solutions Sales for the UK, reports Dow Jones.

In his new role based in London, Darbyshire will be in charge of relationships with UK Insurance and Pension Fund clients, working with Scott Eason in his role of strategic advisory.

Previously, Darbyshire worked at Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) and BNP Paribas (BNPP.PA) (LSE: BNP) (OTC: BNPQY), where he specialised in the launching of innovative structured and derivative-based investment strategies.
