Commercial banks in Saudi Arabia have reported profits above those forecast in the first quarter.

Saudi Hollandi Bank and Saudi British Bank (SABB) beat estimates for first-quarter net profit.

While SABB reported that its first quarter net profit increased by 11 per cent over last year to SAR948m, Saudi Hollandi said that its first quarter net profit increased by 19.4 per cent over last year to SAR346.3m.
