Rio Tinto, a mining company, is planning to divest its diamond operations from everywhere except India.
The company is taking this step because of their 'non-core' nature.
The firm is presently developing a high-quality diamond mine in the Bunder district of Madhya Pradesh. It operates three diamond mines, Argyle in Australia, Diavik in Canada, Murowa in Zimbabwe and the Bunder project in India.
