Renault SA (EURONEXT: RNO), a France-based automaker, is planning to develop a new small crossover named X87.

The model is to compete with the Nissan Juke and upcoming Ford B-Max.

The vehicle is to arrive at United States dealerships in late 2012 or early 2013. It is to be produced at the company's plant in Valladolid, Spain.
