13 December 2011 - Oslo-listed oil rig operator Prosafe SE (OSL:PRS) said today it had won a 744-day extension worth some USD39.4m of a bareboat charter with Mexican offshore services company Cotemar.

The Safe Hibernia rig will now be used at the Cantarell field in Mexico until the end of December 2013.

The Cantarell field is operated by Mexican state oil monopoly Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
