Global Banking News - 01 February 2011

Danny Glenn, president of Magnolia State Bank, has retired from the company.

Glenn is retiring after being in the banking industry for 41 years. He had helped set up the bank's branch in Laurel in 2005.

Thomas Brown, chairman of the board for Magnolia State Bank, said that much of the success that the company had in Mongolia was because of Glenn. He said, 'Danny and I are the same age. We grew up knowing each other, through college at Jones and USM. I followed his career in banking in Laurel, where he established a great reputation with customers.'
