6 March 2012 - US lender Pioneer Bank of Roswell New Mexico is to acquire two branches in El Paso, Texas, from Washington Federal Inc (NASDAQ:WAFD), the US savings and loan holding company announced on Monday.
Under the agreement, Pioneer Bank of Roswell will buy USD20m (EUR15m) of deposits and the bank premises, Washington Federal said.
The transaction will not include any loans.
Washington Federal, which has 166 offices across eight states, added the deal needs to be approved by regulators.
