The central bank of Peru has tightened reserves for the fourth time this year.

According to Reuters, the central bank tightened reserve requirements on Tuesday in order to control high liquidity and a rapid credit expansion. The news rules are to come into effect from November 1.

The apex bank raised its reserve requirements on foreign and local currencies by 0.75 percentage points.
