24 January 2011 - Swedish construction company Peab AB (STO: PEAB B) said today it has won two contracts, worth a total of SEK320m, to perform road works in the western region of Gothenburg.
The client is the Swedish transport administration.
Under a SEK250m contract, Peab will prepare for the rebuilding of the national and regional road net in northern, eastern and southern Greater Gothenburg. The work mainly covers the construction of bus lanes, adding lanes, highway stops, interchanges and trimming steps. It will be carried out in cooperation with the client.
Peab will also perform earth moving and other preparations for the introduction of congestion charging in Gothenburg, under a deal, worth some SEK70m.
