30 July 2012 - US lender PNC Bank, a subsidiary of PNC Financial Services (NYSE:PNC), said Monday it had signed a deal to enable its customers to use PNC-branded ATMs in 191 stores owned by supermarket chain Harris Teeter.

Under the terms of the deal, PNC Bank customers will be able to use ATMs in 138 Harris Teeter grocery stores across North and South Carolina, as well as in 53 stores in Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.

The ATMs are owned and operated by Harris Teeter's retail ATM service provider Cardtronics Inc (NASDAQ:CATM).

Thanks to the agreement, PNC customers will pay no fee on any transaction during Harris Teeter store hours, including at locations that are open 24 hours a day. In addition to cash withdrawals, customers will be able to transfer money and control the balances on their checking and savings accounts.
