20 September 2011 - Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) said on Tuesday it would extend a EUR240m (USD328.2m) loan to Danish state-run power utility Dong Energy for a period of 10 years.

The company will use the loan to partly finance the implementation of its Anholt offshore wind power project.

The facility's power output is expected to satisfy the needs of more than 400,000 end-consumers in the country, ensuring 4% of the country's electricity demand.

The company expects to bring the facility into operation next year.
