M2 EQUITYBITES-January 16, 2012--Nomos Bank's net profit grows to USD141m in 2011(C)2012 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

16 January 2012 - Russia's Nomos Bank ended 2011 with a net profit of RUB4.5bn (USD141.2m/EUR111.6m) under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), up 15.7% in annual terms, the lender said on Monday.

Its assets came in at RUB454.7bn on 31 December, rising by 27% since the start of the year.

The bank's net interest income added 26.4% to RUB16.9bn, while net non-interest income dropped by 8.9% to RUB4.1bn because of the unstable financial markets in the second half of the year, Nomos said.

Its loan book totalled RUB279.6bn, up 33% against end-2010.

Nomos's liabilities went up by 26.7% to RUB408.5bn, while expenses for creating reserves fell 10% to RUB2.4bn.
