TELECOMWORLDWIRE-(C) 1994-9 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
The Australian Communications Authority (ACA) has released a report on consumer satisfaction with telecomms services over the last two years. The report, which is based on a survey of over 1,500 respondents from households and small businesses across Australia, found that 80% of the respondents were satisfied with the telephone companies' provision of new telephone services or for the reconnection of an existing service, but only about 20% were pleased with the companies' performance in repairing faults. Of those respondents using a mobile phone, whether analogue or GSM, over 80% reported high satisfaction with the overall quality of the mobile service. The survey also covered Internet usage, with 84% of the respondents saying they were satisfied with the Internet service provided to them.
