6 December 2010 - Norwegian speciality pharma company Navamedic ASA (OSL: NAVA) said today its subsidiary Vitaflo Scandinavia will exclusively distribute the new head lice remedy NYDA of German rival Pohl-Boskamp in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

The market for the product in these countries is estimated to some SEK18m per year, Navamedic said.

NYDA, whose active ingredients penetrate the airways of both the lice and its eggs and cause suffocation, is a mild product, suitable for children from the age of two. The product is recommended by the Swedish pharmaceutical authority, Navamedic's CEO Olof Milveden said.

The distribution agreement is a step of the Navamedic's growth strategy, the company stated.
