-NEW RANGE OF WEB ENABLED PHONES PREVIEWED BY MICROSOFT.

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS (C) 1994-8 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD Microsoft Corp, in cooperation with several telephone manufacturers, has previewed a new series of web-enabled telephones. The telephones use Microsoft's Windows CE operating system and consist of a traditional phone handset with a numeric keypad for phone services and a touch screen display and keyboard for web usage. The phone is fitted with a standard analogue 33.6Kb/s modem that enables users to access the Internet with full browsing capabilities. The phone also includes an address book, caller ID and e-mail facilities.
