14 December 2010 - Swedish pharma company Meda AB (STO: MEDA A) said today it has acquired three over-the-counter consumer products from US sector player GlaxoSmithKline LLC for SEK235m.

The products have combined annual sales corresponding to SEK100m, with strong profit margins. Meda did not disclose any further details about the drugs.

GlaxoSmithKline LLC is part of UK-based healthcare group GlaxoSmithKline plc (LON: GSK), or GSK. Meda and GSK are discussing potential additional OTC deals in the US market.
